B.S. in Mathematics - Actuarial Science Option
A field of application in actuarial science is an option within the Bachelor
of Science in Mathematics program. This option provides excellent preparation
for a career as an actuary. Coursework in this program supports the Society of
Actuaries’ Validation by Educational Experience (VEE) in economics,
applied statistics and corporate finance and provides theoretical background for
Exams P and MF.
Program Description
This degree requires the completion of at least 120 semester hours,
including at least 41 hours of general education, at least 36 hours of mathematics, at least 24 hours of business, and at least 6 hours of computer science.
